Fairytale

The weather was pretty nice yesterday, so I did some outside sketching..
I really didn't ment to but I made a lot of princesses and other fairytale figures..
Sleeping beauty, knights, little red riding hood and so many more..
Maybe I should try to illustrate some fairytales..

Funny girl

I haven't been around lately, because my scanner was broken :(

But... everything is okay now!

I made this little girl a few weeks ago, she's going to be in some upcoming comics.

I'm not sure if she's a little sister or a just a funny (& annoying) neighbor kid.

Illustration Friday - Twirl

This weeks subject was Twirl, I made a girl with Twirly hair (is twirly actually a word?!)
It's only a sketch, because I've been very busy this week..
In the Netherlands it's Fashion Week, and there are a lot of fashion shows in Amsterdam.
I'm a writer for a dutch online magazine Air Magazine and went to the shows.
I just love fashion shows, it's a sort of circus with eccentric and hysterical people.

Princess

I've been sketching a princess today, while watching a movie.. (yes, a Disney movie ;))
She's a very cheerful young lady and I think she knows very well what she wants!
(and isn't afraid to go get it! :))

Tangled

I've been inspired by the sketches that Glen Keane made for Tangled. (I love Rapunzel!)
Actually I've been inspired by the whole Disney animation style...
Above are a few sketches I made, I'm trying to combine the disney-style and my own.
I sketched sooo much (when I actually had homework to make) today, I'll post more sketches tomorrow.
I like experimenting with my style! :)

Some Sketches

I've been sketching a lot.. above 2 sketches.
The girl with the bow was a experiment with watercolor paint.
And the girl that get's blown away was my sketch for Illustration Friday.
But I had just no time to finish it.. :(
I have a lot of deadlines this week, so I'm pretty busy and have little time to make things.
So no Illustration Friday this week and last week, but next week I'll be back! :)

I think she's a spoiled little girl ;)
I need to keep on practicing, I need to get better with drawing emotions and a normal posture..

Daily Diary 3 jan 2012

Happy New Year!
This year I want to do a diary about my day sometimes..
Above is a (not so brilliant) sketch about today, the weather was really bad! I got soaked! :(
I had to work today and had a meeting, nothing special really...
BUT! The internet here in my new home finally works!
I'm really happy about it (my boyfriend even more!)
Cherry Healey Investigates was on TV tonight, I like that show very much :)
And now I'm off to bed!
